Dear Community!
As you know the cost of everything is increasing. We have such a generous community. We were blown away with the turnout and support for the spring walks. The “rooster money” was amazing! As a board we truly want to keep from having to raise the cost of Pilgrim and Sponsor fees. However, we feel that a slight increase is inevitable! With the rising cost of fees and cost of food we fell short during the spring walks.
For a three day retreat the cost for Pilgrims has been $85 and Sponsors pay $45 for a total of $130. I know it is not a 5 star hotel but it is the closest thing to Heaven here on earth. To break even, based on the spring walk, we need the cost to increase to $160. The pilgrim pays $100 and the sponsor $60.
We know that this might be a hardship for some so we are asking the community to help to offset the cost for the fall walks. We are asking for the community to make a commitment to “Co-Sponsor” a Pilgrim/Team Member. We are asking for 100 community members to be a “Co-Sponsor for $30. However, no amount is too small. If $30 is not in your budget go in with a friend and sponsor someone together. As the Lord puts those in your path, pray about contributing.
There are several ways you can contribute. You can feed the rooster at the gathering or walks. This money goes to the scholarship funds. You can send money to our Paypal account @UnitedEmmaus in the notes type “Co-Sponsor”. You can also mail a check to:
